3M 1/2 Marathon Race Recap

Half Marathon #27 State #19 2 of 13 in 2013 Pre Race Saturday was low key, including carb loading and resting. I woke up Sunday morning around 5:10 and fixed my Kona Kola NUUN, bagel, and got ready. The temp had dropped 40 degrees since Saturday with 10-15 mph winds. I didn’t exactly pack the warmest clothes. I Love to Eat and Run

One of my favorite things about racing the states and traveling for races is getting to try fabulous restaurants and see the sights in new cities.  I’m a self-proclaimed foodie and I always try and eat well when I am in a new city (I do my best to limit my race recaps with nothing but food pics).  Yesterday was no different. The Best Laid Plans

Most runners are type-A plan oriented. I am definitely one of those people. I like having a plan. I like sticking to a plan. Last weeks training went really well.  BUT, sometimes plans just don’t always work the way you want/need them to. Monday: 5 miles easy. P and I went to the park and ran I kept my pace at an average of 8:55. Tuesday: rest/yoga. NY Day. I relaxed. Wednesday: 7 mile tempo run.
