Ragnar Trail Atlanta Race Recap

3rd Relay Race 1st Trail Race I often pinch myself when I get the opportunity to run races like this. When Nuun offered me the chance to captain a team for the Ragnar Trail Atlanta race, I couldn’t pass it up. Who cares that I’d never set foot on a trail before? Shamrock N Roll 10K Race Recap

This race has always been on my radar, but the Publix 1/2 has always been my front runner race. For some reason this year, I decided not to do Publix (so many others on my calendar) and this race sort of fell into my lap. Wednesday: 4 miles (38:53) around Piedmont Park. Incredible feat considering how incredibly hungover I was. Also made the southern usual: pork, collards, and black...

Two Different Kinds of Strong

Thank you for all your words of encouragement post-surgery. I’ve had two different versions of strong in my life this week.  First, the #BostonStrong. I felt so helpless last week as much of the running community came together the day after the events to run for those in Boston. I obviously couldn’t. When I found out about this weeks events at my local running store, I had to be there. I hobbled on my one crutch and went to hang out at Big Peach Running Co (midtown). I saw tons of...
