Getting it DONE.

Not that I’m one to find an excuse not to do a workout, but the past few weeks really challenged me. I spent a lot of time on the road getting to know my new territory, which meant a lot of time on the treadmill and too much time in my car which hurt my hip and back and kept me at the chiropractor a little more than usual. And, bad weather tried to stop me on my last long run, but that wasn’t happening either. It was all about finishing this training cycle on a high. Week of March...

NYC, Back in Bama, and Attempting to Find Balance

I’m a broken record of catch up. But, in a way it’s kinda nice as I get closer to Boston to look back through my training plan. I was really lucky that...

Sedona, the Move and Marathon Training Between

Wow- how did a month of weekly recaps go by!?! Needless to say, packing, learning a new product line, attending a National Sales Meeting, training, taking a racecation and moving all happened in February. I didn’t miss a single workout and surprisingly nailed all of them. I have NO idea how that happened (actually feeling okay on them, even on days when I swore I wouldn’t). Perhaps it’s the fact that it was the only thing I could truly control the entire month of February...

Boston Marathon Training Weeks 5 & 6

Just when I thought my marathon training would be my focus of the winter, life throws curveballs. AMAZING opportunities, but still added stress. I thought my January-March was going to be limited travel, down time in Atlanta to blog, scrapbook, and CHILL. Something I really haven’t done enough of in the past year. Well, as of the past Monday, we are Sweet Home Alabama bound! I received an offer to work for an amazing company with a smaller territory, more money and better benefits. An...

Farewell 2015, Hello 2016 and a Giveaway

When 2014 ended, I wasn’t sure that a year could top it. Coming off a really crappy 2013, 2014 was my hero. And then 2015 seemed to blow it out of the water. It’s been a pretty amazing year in my personal life and in my running life. I got engaged, welcomed another niece into the world, took some amazing trips, celebrated my engagement, got married, honeymooned, and well, here we are. (We just got our wedding video and I had to share- but you need a few minutes to watch!) Elizabeth...
