Jackson Hole Half Marathon Race Recap

State #39 Half Marathon #48 I had my eye on this race for over a year. I have a very understanding husband who allows me to plan our trips around races and it seems only fitting that since our honeymoon involved a race, our first anniversary trip should to, right? We took advantage of the extra days off for the holiday to celebrate a week early with a trip to Jackson Hole, the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone. Pre-Race We flew into Salt Lake City late Wednesday (technically arriving Thursday...

Living Unlimited

When Jes asked me if I would share what Living Unlimited means to me, I easily said yes. It was a somewhat simple answer for me. The movement is designed to transform our perceived limits into unlimited possibilities and live life to the fullest. It was inspired by the strength and courage of MDA (Muscular Dystrophy Association) families who do remarkable things every day despite the physical and society limits diseases like muscular dystrophy and ALS often create. I’ve had several...

MCM Training Week 1 & 2

I’m backing up to give you the full picture of my fall marathon training. I actually had to ask Coach if we had started yet and indeed we had so I wanted to start from the beginning of it. I’m super excited to be training for Marine Corps Marathon in October, and I’m keeping my Boston goal of 3:25. I’ve really enjoyed the past few weeks of base building- it’s been an adjustment to run every day, but the easy days are super easy. It’s the getting up to beat...
