Bullet Points

Well, I guess the one good thing about not running right now is that it coincides with my new job. Holy no free time to blog (or read them). ย I was in San Antonio last week for our national sales meeting. That definitely didn’t suck. I had a facial (yes, we had free time and the company treated us), had time to workout and go for a nature hike as well as learn a ton and get a huge sales goal for the year. ๐Ÿ™‚

I did my best to eat well but I know I wasn’t great. It’s really hard to eat well when you don’t have options. Back to the Lose It counting for me!

I feel like my life is a list of bullet points right now. Checking off lists, notes, quick blurbs of importance, etc. So bullet point updates is what you are getting and it’s back to work for me. ย A few product reviews and my January recap coming soon. I swear.

  • I’m not running #RNRNOLA. I ran a mile today in PT and it didn’t hurt, but it didn’t feel 100%. I need to take care of my body and play it safe.
  • We are still going to NOLA to see our friends and P is running. Total role reversal and I can’t wait to be his cheerleader.
  • I will most likely cry in sadness because I’ve never traveled for a race and not been able to run. That weekend is going to be hard for me.
  • I have absolutely no idea if I will get to run the Publix 1/2 here in Atlanta in March.
  • I’m also 75% sure I will now have to drop to the 1/2 at Eugene-and I’m hoping that happens at all.
  • I pretty much had a nervous breakdown today. Sobs. Hysteria in my car. Because of stress, no running, Bank of America crappy customer service, my car tag, lost driversย license (car tag lady apparently kept it and have to go back tomorrow), couldn’t return something to TJ Maxx (because of missing license)ย and just overall-not enough hours in the day.
  • I apparently barely worked at my last job. I am realizing I have little time for social media right now. It’s good and bad for me considering most of my friends are runners and I am envious.
  • I’m running another relay with NUUN! More on that to come soon.
  • Paying someone to clean your house is money well spent. I love coming home to perfection and I didn’t have to do any of it.
  • I leave again Friday for another trade show. Then Nola next weekend. Then another trade show. So tired already.
  • Most exciting bullet point of all-ย MY NIECE/NEPHEW WILL BE HERE ON THURSDAY!!ย (unless peanut decides to come before then, but Allison heads to the hospital Wednesday night).

How in the world do you balance work/social media? Will it get easier once the job gets to be “normal”? I’ve never been to the hospital for the actual birth…what should I know? How was your weekend?

  • I’m sorry about NOLA but if it makes it so you can run Eugene 1/2, then it will be for the best. I know NOLA is special though. Would walking it be too much? Would like to hear about your new job sometime…in Eugene? Hang in there.

  • I loved NOLA, I’m so sorry you don’t get to run it this year. But, you’ll get to be there and eat!

Oh man, I hope you get to run Publix. How annoying will we be staying with you if you don’t?

Hmmmm….the NUUN relay must be after Eugene….

  • Oooooo…so excited to find out which relay you chose! And so super bummed you’re still sidelined ๐Ÿ™

I really hope you are able to enjoy NOLA ๐Ÿ™‚ Miss you! Thanks for the super sweet tweets and comments ๐Ÿ™‚

  • ๐Ÿ™ Sorry to hear that things are stressful, busy and overwhelming right now. Just push through February and hopefully March will bring a little bit of a reprieve (and maybe some running?!). I miss you and looking forward to catching up soon!

  • Sorry to hear you can’t run NOLA, that sucks!!! I really hope you will be back running soon!! At least you are in good hands with your PT. HAve you ever tried wobenzyme? It is some German magic pill, which some doctors start recommended here as well. It is all natural but it helps with recovery in general but also speeds up the injury healing process.

  • Sorry about NOLA but that’s probably one of the better places with lots of other fun distractions from the race! I’m sure your new job will get a little better once you get a little more settled into it!

  • I can’t believe your sister is about to have her baby. That is so exciting! I feel like it went so fast. You don’t need to know anything – just be there, be patient, and be willing to do whatever you are asked – you know typical big sister stuff. Congratulations Aunt Elizabeth!

  • You poor thing! I am sorry that you won’t be able to run NOLA. I am sure that P will love to have you for his cheerleader though. I have gone to one race where I couldn’t run (RNR SEA) and it was really tough. I cried before and after the race. It helped being surrounded by awesome people though. It made the trip worth while even if I wasn’t running. I am glad that you are playing it safe. Better to do that now and miss a race then really miss something up. I go through phases where I am way to busy with social activities and work to connect much over social media. I stopped following some blogs because all they did was post pictures of what they ate everyday. Now I just follow my absolute favorites (including yours!). During the week I rarely FB and I feel like I go through phases with Twitter. I do try and check my instagram at least twice a day because I like to look at pictures. ๐Ÿ™‚ I also do 90% of my blog reading and writing between 5-6:30 am before I have to get ready for work.

I hope that this week goes better for you!

  • I’m sorry to hear about the pain ๐Ÿ™ But all these things happen for a reason and you will have a massive comeBETTER and be a much stronger runner after it all.
Girl, I feel you on the busy thing. Sometimes I get overwhelmed by not being able to keep up – or having over 100 blogs on my reader to catch up on. I try during my slow days or night shifts at work and on sundays. Most other days – life comes first.

REAL LIFE > Social Media ๐Ÿ™‚

  • OK, so I just sent you an email and then finally got around to reading blog posts (you’re not the only one behind there!)…I’m so bummed you won’t be able to run NOLA, but am seriously so excited to know you’ll still be there! We MUST meet up! We’re staying w/ my mom at her condo/townhouse just off St Charles so if you need a place to watch the race, you can hang with her (it’s near mile 2 and 7). Is P running the the 1/2 or full?

I know it’s hectic right now, but you seem to be enjoying this new job so much more than your old one- even with the crazy schedule and travel! I hope you can settle into a routine soon–and that it includes painfree running!!

    See you next weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I’m so sorry about Nola :(. Hope you can make the best of it, and enjoy your spectating time!

I’d take a crazy busy awesome job over a dead slow awful job any day!

Congratulations, AUNT! Hope everything went fast and easy ๐Ÿ˜€

  • I’m sorry about Nawlins. At least it’s a fun town. Drown your sorrows into a hurricane at Pat O’Briens. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Or a beignet! ๐Ÿ™‚ I know, I know. Not healthy options but dang girl, you deserve a pick me up! Hang in there!!

  • Major bummer about NOLA but you will still have fun because I’ve heard that is like party city or something. Relay with Nuun…so exciting!!!! :)) And you are so lucky to have someone clean your house. Must be a wonderful feeling.
