I needed a nice relaxing, non-racing weekend. This weekend was one of them. I’ll sum up most of it in pictures. It started with an 8 mile run around my neighborhood, the Virginia Highlands, and Piedmont Park followed by my drills from Coach (I skipped the 5k that was in my neighborhood-just couldn’t bring myself to race).
Then, my first trip to the Morningside Farmers Market-literally a 1.5 miles from my house every Saturday and this was my first time going. I will definitely be going more often!
P and I went to the pool for a bit after that and then to the Virginia Highlands Summerfest. I picked out a fathers day gift for my pops (I can’t wait to share later) and then we headed to a bar to watch the rest of the Braves game.
Then cocktails on the patio before a fabulous sushi dinner.
Sunday P had a tennis match and I decided to tag along to watch him play for a bit and head out for a walk on the trails near the courts. Turns out I’m not very good at just walking. It turned into a walk/run and lots of picture taking. I thought the graffiti along the trail was really cool.
My walk/run ended being just a little over 2 miles. I loved trying out a new (paved and boardwalk-no dirt) trail, even though it was short. There was plenty to see and keep me entertained along the way. And P won his match.
And as you can see, I am really loving Instagram right now. Very fun! I’ve had it on my phone for a while now but always forget to use it instead of the camera.
Monday: 45 mins on ellptical and blonde ponytails ab workout
Tuesday: Speedwork. 400s, 800s, or fartleks. Not sure which yet.
Wednesday: NATIONAL RUNNING DAY! 4-6 mile run and strength training
Thursday: 4-6 mile run
Friday: hopefully flywheel (we missed last week)
Saturday: MUDDY BUDDY!!
