1. My Valentine ROCKED. He cooked me an amazing dinner and got me the Adele Live Concert DVD/CD. You see, I am slightly obsessed with her and he knows it. Had she not canceled her concert in Atlanta in October that would’ve been my birthday present…the DVD was the next best thing. And honestly, I love her even more now after watching her show.

I was in charge of dessert and made his favorite, Red Velvet Cupcakes. Except I made the Cooking Light version. Yes, they are good, but definitely light.
2. I know you are probably sick of hearing about my weight. Hell, I am sick of talking about it. But, I had my measurements done with my personal trainer at the gym yesterday. I hadn’t been measured since September and I must say, I was slightly disappointed. I have only lost 1/2 an inch in my waist. I actually gained an inch or so in my thighs-but I know that is all muscle. I did lose two inches in my hips but everything else stayed the same.
My coworker and I now have a bet for lululemon gear. We each have to lose 7 lbs. by Easter. If I don’t and she does, I buy her lulu, and vice versa. I am to the point I don’t know what else to do. My trainer wants me to up my weight lifting to 3 times a week for 45 mins. each time. I don’t know if this is right or not. I am to the point I want to hire someone to do my nutrition–I know it is “obvious” burn more than you put in your mouth. I just wouldn’t think that a few chocolate covered almonds or 2-3 glasses of wine a week is really killing me. Anyone want to be my nutritionist??
:)
3. I am very excited about my upcoming travel and races for the next few months. New Orleans is pretty much planned, other than a blogger meetup.
I’m already starting to plan our trip to Big Sur/Napa/Sonoma. Any suggestions on your favorite wineries in Napa or Sonoma? I’m trying to change it up from last year…

Let me get you the name of the trainer my friend is using. They did nutrition and she put together training and food plans. And my friend was able to say "don't tell me I can't have bread".
Have fun in nola!
have fun in nola & enjoy some cafe dumonde for me!!
Mmmhhh cupcakes look so yummy!!! I was thinking about a nutritionist as well. I do believe with proper food my stomach would be nicer and also I might feel better. Let me know if you find a good one
The dinner and cupcakes look delicious! My best girl friend is a registered dietician so if you want a nutritionist I'd be happy to give you her contact info.
I'm sorry you're frustrated by the measurements…but 3 inches in the hips is pretty awesome! Maybe trying a new trainer?
As for running, I can't wait to hear about NOLA!
