Three Things Thursday

1.  Run Courtney Run posted several challenges for the month of February. I decided to take part in the abs challenge since it’s the one part of my body I would love to lipo off (but don’t worry, I won’t). :):)

I will also continue with Kim’s New 2 Me Cross Training (which will be next Wednesday) and in Christine’s February Push up Challenge.

2.  Last week while I was away I received two packages from our 12 in 2012 sponsors, IFitness and Chica Bands.  I was really excited to try them out this week.  As some of you may know, I have been a bit partial to my Spi-Belt and my Sweaty Bands-no reason really except that they were the first brand of their type product that I have tried.

We each were sent the single pouch with Bib Holder IFitness Belt.

I. LOVE. IT.  You really can’t feel the belt move.  That was one thing that drove me crazy about the Spi Belt.  It constantly bounces up and down.  I have to carry my inhaler all of the time and depending on the race 4 gels and my phone.  That was a lot of weight to carry that bounced around.  I was so excited to learn more about IFitness and see that they make belts exactly for this.  I will be purchasing the Ultimate II Running Belt before my next marathon for sure.

The Chica Bands?  Same thing.  Love them.  I have used them in spin class and in running and they keep my hair in place nicely.  I really like that the brand tag is actually sewn into the band and not glued on.  I love the styles that were sent to me as well.  I hope they hold up a bit better than my Sweaty Bands (they stretch out over time).  I look forward to wearing them in my races!

3.  Next weekend is my 2nd 1/2 of the year.  I’m heading to Birmingham, Al for the Mercedes 1/2 marathon.  It’s a little over 2 hour drive and we are staying at my friend Rob’s condo.  A nice, inexpensive race!!  The race posted on their facebook page the shirt, medal, and hat.  Love that you get a hat too.  And really can’t complain about this bling at all!!
