Three Things Thursday

1. This has been a crazy, crazy week. I have had something to do every night! I’m excited about tonight though, P and I are decorating my house and Christmas tree. Speaking of tree…I told you I was going to make my tree skirt. And I did it. I now know why they are $80 on etsy. It took me a good 6 hours to make it (Thanksgiving was very low key). I would also say a good hour to remember how to use my sewing machine-but it was like riding a bike. Once I figured it out, it was a piece of cake. The pinning had to be the hardest part of all. Here are the pics.

cutting an insane amount of strips

I did 3 inch strips

the beginning of the pinning-I pinned and then sewed each strip

the final product! I can’t wait to put it under the tree tonight!!
I also found this package tag idea on pinterest this week. It is cut out paint chips from the hardware store. Too cute!

right side up it would be a christmas tree |
I will post pics of the final decorations next week.
2. It is hard to believe that Goofy is only 5 weeks away. We have a 20 mile run this weekend (and 10 on Sunday) and the PT said to go for it….so here’s to hoping I will be okay. I appreciate your comments on Miami. I’m 99% sure I am out. Wineglass Marathon opened today too. Why is it so hard for me to say no to these races? I know I need to stick with my 50 state goal and spend my money towards that. But I LOVE running with my TNT friends and they will be going again. :(:( I would love to do it again…
3. Let the Christmas chaos begin: A blogger card exchange, a blogger gift exchange, daily mile secret santa, TNT gift exchange, Pi Phi ornament exchange, a tacky sweater party, and my own housewarming/holiday party. All in the next 2 weeks. Oh, and HBBC and possibly some of the other activity focused things floating out there in bloggy land. Whew. I am tired just typing this. It’s a lot but I absolutely LOVE this time of year.

I saw the new Wineglass Marathon website and love it! Did you get a chance to check it out?
The skirt looks awesome and I LOVE that paint chip idea!
Oh wow!!! It's gorgeous! You've impressed me yet again!
Super cute tree skirt. And I'm in your group for the Holiday Card Exchange! xox
Love the tree skirt. I saw the paint chip idea too. I have collected several sets of paint strips to use in a variety of colors
It sounds like our calendars are very similar this time of year. Busy but I love the excitement!
Count down to Goofy!
