1. This week has been quite wonderful. I am FINALLY relaxing. I am major type A, go non-stop, never say no to anyone, etc. Not this week. I am sleeping, working out and being lazy. I still haven’t even unpacked from Christmas. Oh well. I still have a few days off next week. It will all get done-including cleaning out my closet. For real. I am realizing that I truly wished $$ grew on trees so I wouldn’t have to go to work. I wish I could just workout and volunteer. A girl can dream…and play the lottery, right?
2. NYE plans are pretty low key this year. As I have gotten older and wasted money on big nights in previous years, I have come to realize it doesn’t really matter where I am as long as I am with friends/family. Don’t get me wrong I love NYE but I feel like the entertainment and restaurant industry take advantage of holidays like this (and Valentines Day) and overcharge you for crappy food and music. So instead, Chris & I will be heading to my friend Katie’s house for a little get-together. On New Years Day we are running the Resolution Run 10K and I am making black beans and collard greens. Need luck and money, so here’s to a little superstition/tradition.
3. I signed up for the Run for the Bling of it Challenge. I mean, that was obvious right, “run for the Bling of it”? I already do :):) But seriously, what a great way to keep us motivated to race each month-no matter what the distance. I also just received an invite on Daily Mile to run 2011 miles in 2011. That seems kind of insane for me. I didn’t start daily mile until March and I think I am closer to 1,000 miles for this year but I am not sure. I don’t want to set a goal that is too unrealistic. What do you think? I was thinking 1,000 for the year before I got this invite. The rest of my goals you will see tomorrow in a separate goals post for 2011.
