Gluttony

I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas! I definitely did–that post will come later when I make it back to Atlanta (my stuff is still split between my mom’s house and my dad’s house and you deserve to see pictures). I am a very lucky girl and that’s all there is to that.

I have also been bad. I feel like I have eaten everything bad in site and kinda don’t care. I know that sounds awful but there is something about being home that makes me throw all will power away. Perhaps its the nastalgia of my favorite local restaurants or the fact that my parents have food at their homes that I normally wouldn’t buy. I stopped buying cookies, crackers, snack food, etc years ago because I know if I have it, I will eat it. So here we are. Grossed out by all of the food, yet secretly enjoying it. Oh well, you only live once, right? Hooray for tomorrow and eating right again…back to the goal of 7 fruits & veggies a day!

But…I will admit I did get my miles in this week. 8 Monday, 5 Thursday, 4 Friday and 11 today. So that makes me feel a little better. And they were all great runs. Pace was decent and no real pain in my feet or legs. Things are looking good for the First Light 1/2 marathon in 2 weeks (I truly can’t believe I am driving back down here in 2 weeks.)

Here’s to hoping I don’t eat junk the whole time I am back home again!!
