This will be short and sweet because I still have more family rounds to do….
1. I am thankful for family. I am so lucky to come from such a large family and I love spending time with them. Luckily all of the Lebanese in Mobile seemed to procreate and not only is my Dad 1 of 6 but my great uncles seemed to do the same and my dad has 2 other sets of 6 cousins. Hard to explain and really need to do a family tree. But its great seeing all of them. On to see my moms side of the family tonight which is smaller, but I love them just the same 🙂
2. I am thankful for my friends. New & Old. I am very blessed to have great friends from all parts of my life. My oldest friends-my “90210” girls from high school, my Pi Phi sorority sisters, my Atlanta friends, my TNT friends and now my blogger friends. You all have touched my life in so many ways and I am thankful for each and every one of you. Thank you for being a constant support system. I am so very, very lucky.
3. I am thankful for my health. I don’t know what I do would do without my running (and yoga and pure barre) :):) It keeps me sane. This year has been amazing. I joined TNT, PR’d in my 1/2 marathon & 5K times, ran my first marathon, completed 3 1/2 marathons (4 after next saturday) and just won my 1st place in my age group today at a 5K! (24:18 was race time)!! I am super pumped about this. The Run for Hope 5K benefits Camp Rap-a-Hope, which is a camp for kids with cancer–a cause obviously near and dear to my heart. I didn’t actually think Mobile had a race today and was super pumped that they did and that it was for such a great cause. So not only did I raise $$ for Camp Rap-a-Hope, I also raised a little for St. Jude with the Virtual Feed the Turkey 5K & won a “medal”!! I will add the pic later.
Time to see the rest of the fam. I hope you all enjoyed your Thanksgiving!!
