So I had read about Kale “chips” a few weeks ago in one of my cooking or fitness magazines (sorry, can’t remember which one) and was curious about this healthy “chip”. I have been trying to eat more natural and eat less meat so I thought this was a great option. For some reason all I really wanted for dinner tonight was veggies and they were a random bunch but it’s what stuck out at Kroger. Eggplant, Okra, Kale. Odd yes. But still healthy, delicious, and it gave me an opportunity to try out Kale!
So I attempted the Kale chips and they really do give the same crunch as a chip but tons more nutritional value. Literally, wash & dry the Kale, tear off the greens from the hard stems (discard stems), add olive oil and salt to the pieces and bake. Bake for 20-23 minutes at 300. My pic isn’t great (honestly I hope it doesn’t scare you) because its from my Iphone, but here ya go. Let me know if you try them and what you think!!
